9-1-1 Director Kris Inman to join The Healthy Dispatcher as Director of Program Development
Following his retirement after a 28-year career at Springfield-Greene County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications, Director Kris Inman will join The Healthy Dispatcher team as Director of Program Development. Joining forces with Adam Timm and team, Kris will continue his legacy of meaningfully advancing the 9-1-1 industry, leveraging his experience and passion for education while working with emergency communications centers across the country.
Originally hired as a 9-1-1 Telecommunicator by Springfield-Greene County in 1994, Kris served as the department’s Training & Education Manager since 2012, working his way up from dispatcher, trainer and supervisor before landing the Director position in May of 2020. Kris’s accomplishments include implementing the department’s first career-laddering positions, a state-of-the-art employee gym and one of the state’s first next-generation 9-1-1 projects.
Kris has also served as an adjunct instructor for Missouri State University, teaching public speaking. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in electronic media and a Master of Arts in communication, both from MSU. He is a certified yoga instructor and has led yoga classes for 9-1-1 staff over the last year.
As Director of Program Development for The Healthy Dispatcher (THD), Kris will manage the expansion of THD’s program offerings, adding leadership development, mentoring, peer support, and training program development courses to THD’s current course catalog. Kris will also join THD’s roster of consultants, applying his decades of 9-1-1 operations knowledge to the company’s Culture Assessment and Organizational Development services.
“It’s honestly difficult to adequately convey just how floored I am to join the team at The Healthy Dispatcher,” Inman said. “Adam Timm has established himself and this incredible company as among the very best and most in demand 9-1-1 training and consulting operations in the country. To get the chance to continue to positively impact an industry that means so much to me while working alongside someone I so deeply admire is an absolute dream come true.”
“It’s an honor to have Kris join the team!” exclaimed Adam. “Kris’s talents and leadership vision will enable us to help more agencies become the best they can be, ensuring that each community receives the service and care they expect. To say that I’m overjoyed to have Kris join us is an understatement.”
